2010/2011 - Project List:

1)  The 1997 bridge on 8 Heather Lane, which is heading out Blanchard Road, on your right, prior to Range Road was reported as missing one of it's legs.  It was checked on 1/9/11 and although one leg is not on the ground due to frost, the bridge is very sound, with no issues.  We need to put some slats on the far end, as it's a big spongy.

2)  Bridge on the east side of Frankie Lane, top boards were reported as being very weak.  It's in pretty good shape, there are some boards underneath that have fallen, but the metal framing is sound.  Similar to above, some slats placed lengthwise would help support the bridge with some 4x4's underneath.  This bridge currently leads to now where, as the crossing down closer to Center Cumberland no longer heads over to Turkey Lane due to the closure by Medley Watson some years ago.

3)  We need to check the 1996 bridge and see if it's been moved over again from spring flooding.  (We need to check all bridges.) - 1/19/11 update - Bill said it's in good shape, no issues!

4)  Blanchard Road powerline bridge across from the fairgrounds probably needs to be put back in place, it floods out and is moved each year.

5)  We need to update the trail map with the 102 closure and repost to the website.  (Shawn's computer is on the fritz, will update when it's fixed.)

6)  Forecaster publication on the closure, our goals as a club and request for continued support. - Note - Determined to be too expensive, at $250ish for an ad.

2009/2010 (unresolved):

1)  Many more signs still need to be put up.  We could use some more grade stakes.  - 1/19/11 update - Our signs on the trails are in the best shape in years, look great, good job to all!

2)  Bridge from Club House to Route 9 needs to have center boards put on it to protect from the studs and the drag.  It was mentioned that a lot of time, the pipe drags pull this up.  There could also be some more signs put up approaching the bridge from the Rt 9 side and heading toward it from the Club House side.  (Caution signs, etc.)  As of Dec. 2009, the closesst, right support beam has snapped off and needs replacing.  (Update 12/18/11 - Still solid, but still pretty beat up looking.)

3)  The stream on the NY side of Blanchard Road needs at least a pallet or two placed across it, this is closer to Blanchard Road, before you get to the bridge.

4)  We may need to build a bridge on the powerline behind the Fair Grounds, as the trail through the woods is now closed for some reason?  Note from 2008, still valid?
